❤️ Relationship & Love : Pause & Reflect

Relationship Patterns

Inspired by the blog post: Is Your Relationship Picker Broken?

Before You Begin

Honest reflection can reveal patterns we don't always notice if we take the time to see them.

This resource was designed to help you pause, reflect, and better understand the choices you've made in relationships.

There are no right or wrong answers—only an opportunity to learn more about yourself.

Reflection Questions

1. Were there any recurring themes or patterns in your relationships?

Think about similarities across past relationships. What keeps showing up, even when the people are different?

2. Have you found yourself repeatedly drawn to people you feel you can "fix" or help grow, or to their potential?

What needs or hopes might have influenced that pattern?

3. Do you tend to choose emotionally unavailable partners, even though you desire connection and vulnerability?

How has this affected your ability to experience the kind of relationship you truly want?

4. Have your relationship choices been influenced more by familiarity or by what you truly need today?

Sometimes what feels familiar isn't always what is healthiest. What comes to mind as you reflect on your experiences?

5. Were you drawn more to who someone was—or to who you hoped they would become?

How did that influence your expectations and the decisions you made within the relationship?

6. Do you communicate your needs clearly, or were you hoping your partner would simply understand them?

How comfortable are you expressing your needs, boundaries, and expectations?

7. Were your needs consistently met, or did you find yourself accepting less than what you truly desired?

What did you learn about yourself through those experiences?

8. As you move forward, what qualities and values matter most in a healthy relationship?

Consider the characteristics that will help you build the kind of relationship you want moving forward.

Growth begins with awareness.

Every honest reflection is a step toward healthier relationships.

As always… stay inspired and continue to chase purpose.
